I took the boys to see Frozen. Actually let me rephrase that, I took Gator to see Frozen and - spent most of the movie with my hand in front of his face. I really thought he was going to be able to handle it, see it's about princesses, and snowmen and a moose, there's nothing scary about moose right??? WRONG!!!! Disney whacks the parents about 10 minutes into the movie. Sure there's a heartwarming scene with happy kids at the beginning but then WHAM, it's dead parents time. Why Disney, WHY???
Now I'm not one that reads movie reviews, I like going in cold, in fact I have pretty much stopped watching trailers online and my only access to them is when I go to a movie. The trailer for Frozen had the super cute snowman and the moose playing on the ice. I don't even think I knew it was about a princess until the morning we went. No worries I thought, princess movies are for girls, girls are more sensitive, surely my sensitive boy won't have a problem with this movie....
Scary parts according to -
1) Uhhh, was when Anna's hair turned white and then freezing part cuz was going too fast and then the snow power went on her
2) The second scary part was not the trolls
3) The second scary was actually when the parents went away in the boat and then they died cuz they went in the water. The boat was sinking.
4) The third scary part was when Elsa froze the world, that was the next scary part
5) The next scary part was when she was in that kind of cage thing
6) Next scary part was the wolves. The wolves were trying to eat Christoph and Anna
7) Next was the snow monster. It was scary because it was giant and bad. It tried to snow up the people or something, I fink
8) Anna tried to stop Prince Hans from trying to kill Elsa
9) Anna get her heart frozen and they go to the trolls but that's not scary but the trolls can't save her, only true love
10) Then they go back down to the city and she goes into a room and Prince Hans puts all the hot stuff out cuz he doesn't know. He says that Elsa has to die and then people go to a attack Elsa, that's not good.
11) Anna she froze cuz he heart was frozen. When she freezes she's stopping Prince Hans from killing Elsa. That's very sad. And it's one of the scary parts. Anna has her arm up and her whole body is straight. I didn't think she was dead.
12) And then Elsa she is sad, and I was sad.
13) And then everything turns out ok and it's an ice castle and the snow goes away and then she says, "are you ready" and everyone says "yes" and then she stamps her feet and then everything on the floor turns to ice and she throws snow up in the air. That's not scary but now I'm telling you a happy part.
Conclusion on Frozen from -
I liked Frozen except the scary parts. But every other part I liked, except the scary part. My favourite was Elsa cuz she had snow powers.
Conclusion on Frozen from me:
I really liked it. I probably would have liked it a lot more if I didn't have to reassure the boy that "everything is going to be ok, it's DISNEY" or "stop wiggling if you're going to sit on my lap" or "No Gator there's only room on my lap for one sucky boy"
